Answering the question on who takes the lead in blockchain-based developments, four respondents out of ten gave their votes to IBM. Whereas two out of ten voted in favor of Microsoft, which took the second place according to the survey results.

The latest news from IBM might have influenced the survey results: in August, the company announced the launch of educational programs focused on blockchain technologies. It will allow satisfying the market demand for such specialists. In addition, IBM took charge of the blockchain consortium, working in the field of supply chains and distributed ledger. Apart from the IT corporation, members of the consortium include food manufacturers and major retailers such as Walmart, Unilever, Nestlé, and Dole.
